Community Events Information

Promoters
Any promoter of a community event that is held in the Town is required to license and remit taxes on the behalf of all individual vendors that attend the event. Please see the Promoter Packet for additional information on business licensing and tax requirements.
The promoter of a community event may also be responsible for obtaining a Community Events Permit. Permit inquiries should be made through the Town's Customer Service Team by calling 303.841.0353.

Vendors
Any promoter of a community event that is held in the Town is required to license and remit taxes on the behalf of all individual vendors that attend the event.

Please note that all individual vendors must be licensed with the State of Colorado.

Community Event Considerations
For sales tax collection purposes, a community event is defined as any sales event, taking place during a single event for a limited period of time not to exceed seven (7) consecutive days, which includes three (3) or more vendors.   A community event may or may not require additional permits per Chapter 10.08 of Municipal Code.
