Has a small self-service recycle center that accepts:

  • Aluminum
  • Plastic Bottles
  • Cardboard boxes (corrugated)
  • Freon recovery on refrigerators, freezers and AC units for $46 per unit.
  • There is a charge per load, $62 minimum.

If you are bring regular recyclables like clean paper, cardboard, plastic , and glass that is free. If you are wanting to dispose of anything on my acceptable items list (see attached) that is $74/ton with a $74 minimum . 

Freon recovery is $50 per unit.

  • Saturday, Sept. 21  - 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • This is a drive through event. Volunteers will unload your vehicle.
  • Three file boxes or kitchen sized trash bags per person for paper shredding. All documents will be shredded onsite.
  • All household electronics that plug into a wall, including TV’s. 
  • There is no charge associated with electronic recycling (includes TV’s).

Scheduled to be open in 2019 in April.

The site is open on Saturdays only from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Acceptable items include tree branches and shrubbery with a maximum length of 6 feet and a maximum diameter of 12 inches. All loads must be covered when they arrive at the site. Site is for Douglas County residents only.
