Chris Vanderpool - Meet Our Staff


The Town Clerk's Office plays an important role with the Town of Parker. Serving as the official custodian for all legal documents, including the Parker Municipal Code and agendas and minutes for public meetings, is just one of the office's various responsibilities. Chris Vanderpool, Deputy Town Clerk, is a key individual behind the scenes in our municipal government who keeps Parker running smoothly.

How long have you worked for the Town of Parker? Where did you work before Parker?
"I have been with the Town since May 2015. I worked for the City of Greenwood Village for 24 years as a Court Clerk and then the Executive Assistant to the City Manager."

Tell us about your job and how it impacts the Parker community.
"The Town Clerk’s Office acts as the custodian of all legal documents, and we coordinate the municipal elections with the County. We also process liquor licenses for Town businesses. We register people to vote. We also process open records requests made by the public. We process and issue peddlers and solicitors permits."

What do you most enjoy about working for the Town of Parker?
"I enjoy and appreciate the ability to learn new things. The people, employees and residents, are great. I like being able to make a difference every day for employees and residents."

What is one thing that most people don’t know about you?
"I wear holiday socks almost all year long."

What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?
"I love being with my dog. I have no better friend than my dog. We do everything together when I am not at work."

What’s one thing that you feel sets Parker apart from other communities?
"Parker has done a great job in planning for growth and setting the infrastructure in place for future development, i.e., building intersections for anticipated traffic in the future. The Town has done an excellent job at building parks and trails to keep up with the growing demand."

What is the most interesting place you’ve ever visited?
"The Grand Canyon."

What’s one thing you couldn’t live without?
"My dog and coffee with half-and-half in it."

If you could do another job for the Town of Parker for just one day, what would it be?
"I would be a street sweeper for a day. You really get to know the neighborhoods."

What’s one thing about working for the Town of Parker that you didn’t expect?
"A membership to the Recreation Center."
