Parker 2035 Master Plan

Overview

The Parker 2035 Master Plan was recommended for approval by the Planning Commission on May 24, 2012 and approved by the Town Council on June 4, 2012. The Parker 2035 Master Plan reflects the Parker area residents' and business owners' values and dreams for the future of Parker, as well as sound planning principles.

The Town is excited to move forward and implement this Plan. Implementation of this Plan will help us ensure that our Town maintains its small-Town feel and continues to be a great place to live.

2018 Master Plan Update

Parker’s 2035 Master Plan was formally adopted in 2014 and serves as a policy document to guide future development for the Town. Since this time, the Town has adopted additional planning documents to help support the goals and strategies of the Master Plan. The most recent update of the Master Plan approved on Oct. 17, 2022 includes:

  • Mainstreet Master Plan – Map and text amendments to reflect our community vision for downtown as set forth in the adopted Mainstreet Master Plan;
  • Complete Streets – Reference the new Town’s new Complete Streets Policy;
  • Parks Recreation and Open Space Master Plan 2018-2022 - Text amendments to reference the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Master Plan 2018-2022 as an important town wide component of the Parker 2035 Master Plan; and
  • Important Intersections - Clarification language that better defines desired commercial areas as a part of important intersections which are referred to as Neighborhood and Community Centers in the Plan.
