The Parker Police Department strives to adhere to the highest standards and reflect the diversity of its community members. The people of our community and members of the Police Department must be united in their commitment to addressing crime, violence and quality-of-life issues by engaging one another in problem-solving partnerships. Investigations: The Investigations Division is comprised of eight detectives who investigate felonies to include crimes against persons/children, sexual assault, Internet Crimes Against Children, property, organized drug, economic and pattern property crimes. The crime analyst compiles information on patterns that can assist the department to deploy resources in a more effective manner and assist detectives in identifying suspects. Detectives are available 24/7 and maintain an on-call status.
Patrol: The Patrol Division is the most visible element of the Parker Police Department. Patrol includes the bike team, K-9 unit, mounted patrol unit, traffic team, school resource and school marshal officers, and motorcycle unit. All patrol officers are responsible for answering calls, addressing domestic and civil disputes, and apprehending criminal offenders, as well as taking on a myriad of other duties. The Patrol Division is staffed 24/7 year-round.
Professional Standards: The Office of Professional Standards oversees the functions of accreditation, community outreach, crime prevention, internal affairs, public information and training. This division is vital to the basic operations of the Police Department.
Support Services: Support Services handles many of the support functions of the Police Department. Communications (emergency dispatch), crime scene investigation, emergency management, neighborhood services, records and property and evidence are in the Support Services Division.

The Parker Police Department impacts the lives of Parker residents every day. Our primary responsibility is the public safety of Town residents and visitors. We achieve this through the community policing model — rather than responding to crime only after it occurs, community policing encourages agencies to develop partnerships within the community and proactively develop solutions to the immediate underlying conditions contributing to public safety concerns. Through community engagement, education and enforcement, we are able to keep Parker residents and visitors safe and foster a feeling of community.

When can I come in for fingerprinting and how much does it cost?
We do fingerprints on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The fee for residents or people who work in Douglas County is $10 for the first two cards and $5 per additional card. Non-residents are charged $20 for the first two cards and $10 per additional card.

The number of veterans that the Parker Police Department hires as police officers. Since 2015, 10 of 17 officer hires have been military veterans.

The Parker Police Department was named the Colorado Special Olympics 2017 Law Enforcement Agency of the Year and entered into their Hall of Fame.
In an effort to battle the increasing mental health issues that officers see, we added a full time in-house clinician to our department. Clinician Jen Fierberg responds to calls to assist individuals that may need mental health assistance and resources.
The Parker Police Department has accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA). In addition, our Communications Division received CALEA Public Safety Communication Accreditation in 2015. Our property and evidence room has accreditation through the International Association for Property and Evidence.
Through intergovernmental agreements, the Parker Police Department conducts emergency communications, crime scene analysis, and evidence and crime analysis for the Lone Tree Police Department.
