The Town of Parker takes pride in offering a variety of opportunities for residents to get involved with community projects, programs and events, and this month’s list of five things to know illustrates that ongoing commitment.
Let’s Talk Parker
goes live:
On Feb. 20, the Town of Parker launched a new community
engagement website designed to give residents another way to get involved and
provide feedback on Town projects and initiatives.
The first offering of its kind in Douglas County, Let’s Talk Parker features information about a wide variety of topics, including potential developments, plan updates, community enhancements and more. A quick platform sign up allows residents to provide comments and suggestions, and remain informed about projects of interest to them.
Parks and Recreation
adds more lunch-hour classes, extends childcare hours:
Based on community requests, Parker Parks and Recreation
has added new group fitness classes, including several specifically for the
lunchtime workout crowd. New programs to the group fitness schedule include
barbell classes, Zumba Burst, Aqua Jogging, Boot Camp, Cardio Blast and GroovaRoo
Dance.
Childcare hours have also been extended at the Parker Recreation Center to make lunchtime classes easier to attend. Extended hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
Website redesign
underway:
Redesign of the Town of Parker and Parker Parks and
Recreation websites has begun. With guidance from more than 200 submitted
resident surveys, two community workshops and input from Town Councilmembers
and staff, the planning and development for the refreshed websites is underway.
The new looks are expected to debut this summer. The Town would like to thank everyone
who took part in this project by providing their suggestions through the
surveys or community workshops.
Parker Arts ramps
up performance schedule:
With The Schoolhouse renovation complete, Parker Arts has its two main performance venues — PACE Center’s Mainstage Theater and The Schoolhouse Theater — back online for the first time in years and has a full month of entertainment planned. Find a complete list of shows and events for March and beyond on the Parker Arts calendar.

and 19 in the Council Chambers at Town Hall, 20120 E. Mainstreet. The Council
