2021 Winter Season Preview

As the seasons change again, here’s a few of our picks for having a wonderful winter in the Town of Parker.

Skate the Ice Trail: Lace up your skates for some wintry fun at the Parker Ice Trail at Discovery Park. Open seven days a week, the Ice Trail allows skaters to meander around a path reminiscent of a frozen river or canal. Visitors can also thaw out next to fire pits or sip hot chocolate from the on-site concession stand.

Warm Up with Indoor Activities: Keep cozy with a Parker Arts performance like The Wizard of Oz, Dinosaur World Live, The Story Pirates, Friday Night Jazz, The Comedy Zone or many more listed on the Shows and Events Calendar.

Art galleries and educational classes provide even more enrichment opportunities.

Parker Parks and Recreation’s catalog of winter adult sports, youth sports, fitness classes and programs offer something for everyone. And if you’re missing summer days, Parker Recreation Center’s indoor pool makes a great escape!

Take Part in a Town-Organized Special Event:

• Kids’ Zone Sweetheart Ball: At the PACE Center Feb. 4

• Love ‘em or Leave ‘em Valentine’s Day 5K/10K: At Salisbury Park Feb. 12

• Shamrock Hunt: Week of St. Patrick’s Day in Downtown Parker

Choose Parker: Find a new favorite shop, restaurant or meet-up spot in town. Explore Parker’s unique business and dining options on the Made in Parker Blog or the Choose Parker Campaign website.

Create Your Own Trip: Click over to the Visit Parker website to see more of what Parker has to offer during winter and all year long. Find even more activities on the Town Calendar, Parker Parks and Recreation Calendar and Parker Arts Calendar.
