Make your plans for the month ahead with our list of five things to know for June.

Discovery Park Summer Concert Series Returns:

Thursday evenings have never sounded so good. Parker Arts’ free Discovery Park Summer Concert Series kicks off another season June 2.

Shows will take place at the Discovery Park amphitheater from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursdays in June and July, with the exception of June 9.

Feel free to bring your picnic baskets, lawn chairs, and beach blankets to enjoy the open green space and soak in the sounds of summer!

Find the series lineup on the Parker Arts Shows and Events Calendar.

Cattle Crossing Race on June 18:

Celebrate the beginning of summer and Parker’s rich rural history with the Cattle Crossing 5K & Family Fun Trek with Will Said with The Reveal Group on June 18 at Tallman Meadow Park.

Part of the Parker Parks and Recreation Run Series, this unique themed 5K run/walk is professionally timed, and western costumes are encouraged! The Family Fun Trek is about one mile of laid-back, outdoorsy fun and includes a "duck hunt" for kids. Registered 5K participants receive a commemorative pint glass, while supplies last, and a free beverage coupon from Welcome Home Brewery. All registrations include pancakes and a souvenir bib number.

Find more information and register on the race webpage.

Bike to Work Day June 22:

Ditch your car and grab your bike for Bike to Work Day on Wednesday, June 22. The Town of Parker and Kaiser Permanente invite you to stop by the Town of Parker Breakfast Station located at the Cherry Creek Trail under the E-470 overpass from 6 to 9 a.m.

The first 200 cyclists will receive a custom Parker Bike to Work Day t-shirt. Breakfast includes bagels and coffee, grab-and-go nutrition bars and fresh bananas, plus water refill stations. Bike technicians will also be onsite to assist with minor repair needs.

Visit the event page for more details.

"Footloose: The Musical" Cuts Loose at PACE Center:

Enjoy the toe-tapping tunes and classic story of Footloose: The Musical at the PACE Center this summer! The show opens on June 24 and runs through July 17.

Pairing the rockin’ rhythm of its Oscar and Tony-nominated Top Forty score, with dynamic new songs, Footloose celebrates the wisdom of listening to young people while guiding them with a warm heart and open mind.
