Parker Porch Party - Goodbye Summer, Hello School

Saturday, August 22, 2020

Grab your lawn chairs, grills, fire pits, picnic necessities, or simply pick up your favorite local takeout and set up camp on your porch, front yard, driveway, patio or balcony for some community-building, yet socially-distant minded, festivities.

Celebrate the best of summer and Parker’s hometown spirit from home with the Parker Porch Party Series sponsored by Xfinity!

On select dates, grab your lawn chairs, grills, fire pits, picnic necessities, or simply pick up your favorite local takeout and set up camp on your porch, front yard, driveway, patio or balcony for some community-building, yet socially-distant minded, festivities.

The Parker Porch Party Series is a great time to enjoy nice weather, chat with your neighbors (from at least six feet away) and win some fantastic prizes. Here’s how to participate:

Host a porch party with your household on any or all of the following dates:
  • Graduate Week (May 18 to 22) - Porch Party on May 23
  • First Day of Summer - June 20
  • Independence Day - July 4
  • Colorado Day - Aug. 1
  • Goodbye Summer, Hello School - Aug. 22
Take a photo or video from your party and email it with your street address to Brooke Spain for a chance to win lunch or dinner for the next party.

The block with the most participation through the first four porch parties will win a block party, organized by the Town of Parker at the final porch party Aug. 22 featuring Jets Pizza, Kona Ice treats, games and special activities.

Should social distancing requirements prohibit a block party on Aug. 22, each household on the winning street will receive pizza and Kona Ice delivered to each household for the final porch party.
