Congratulations to Debbie Lewis, who was elected to the Parker Town Council in November 2012. Lewis is a local real estate broker and property manager. She currently lives in Clarke Farms, prior to which she lived in the Canterberry Crossing subdivision for eight years. Lewis has previously served on the Parker Town Council, the Douglas County Cultural Council and the Parker Cultural Commission. She has also been involved with the Douglas County Housing Partnership and the Partnership of Douglas County Governments.
As a Town Councilmember, Lewis will fulfill her desire to serve the community in which she lives. Her top priorities include ensuring fiscal efficiency by paying down debt while increasing revenue, streamlining polices to create a positive environment while actively growing Parker’s economy and continuing Parker’s legacy as a place to call home. Lewis would also like to rebuild government transparency, accountability and trust through open communication and dialogue.
Lewis holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She has been involved in many area organizations including the Parker Chamber of Commerce, Southeast Christian Church, Parker Days Crop Walk, Douglas County Task Force and other community activities. She has also previously served as the Co-Chair of Parker Days.
In her free time, Debbie enjoys cooking, baking and yard work.
