The City of Lone Tree has scheduled concrete repairs on the Lincoln Avenue bridge over I-25 beginning on May 31 through June 30 (weather dependent). The construction activity will require lane closure on eastbound Lincoln Avenue, as well as the closure of lanes on the southbound I-25 off-ramp. Work will take place between 8 p.m.on Fridays and 5 a.m. on Mondays during this time. There are no scheduled intersection closures or necessary detour route(s).
Since the repairs require crews to place new concrete, there is roughly a 10 to 12-hour time frame in which the concrete has to cure (harden). During this time, lanes will remain closed, but construction crews will not be visibly working. This is a necessary process for concrete replacement to ensure the pavement is of high quality and can withstand the heavy traffic of Lincoln
Avenue.
Considerable traffic delays are expected in this area while the lane closures are in place and motorists are advised to avoid this area if possible. Alternate routes are suggested including RidgeGate Parkway interchange one (1) mile south of Lincoln Avenue.
