Parker Fire Warden, Lt. Doreen Jokerst with the Town of Parker’s Emergency Management Office has lifted the temporary fire restriction order for the Town of Parker. Due to recent rainfall and cooler temperatures, the danger of wildfire has been reduced. However, people are still encouraged to be vigilant as the danger of fire is always present. Residents are reminded to use caution when disposing of lighted cigarettes and other activities that involve the use of fire or sparks. Warm and windy days can quickly lower the fuel moisture content of trees and grasses, making them susceptible to ignition.
The Town of Parker will continue to closely monitor the fire danger within the Town and make appropriate adjustments to reduce the risk of human caused fires in the Town.
