The 2014 Household Chemical Round-Up will be held Saturday, April 12 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Parker Joint Services Center (17801 E. Plaza Drive). This event is open to all Douglas County residents. Proof of county residency is required at the entrance, and a payment of $25 per vehicle is requested to help offset the significant cost of hazardous waste disposal. **Remember that latex paint can be safely disposed of in regular household garbage IF it is completely dried out. To dry out latex paint, mix kitty litter, sand, sawdust, dirt or any other absorbent material with the wet paint and allow it to dry in an area inaccessible to children and pets.
