Are you interested in undertaking a home construction project but not quite sure where to start when it comes to things like regulations, permits and inspections? The Town of Parker has the perfect resource for you with its free Homeowner Building Classes!
Homeowner Building Classes are held four times a year and provide people with the chance to ask all kinds of building-related questions. Various types of projects can be discussed. Typically, interior projects are popular for the fall and winter classes and outdoor projects for the spring and summer classes. Building Division staff will take you through the permit process, explain fees and discuss required inspections. This is a good opportunity to meet the people who will help you with the application and plan review process and also to meet with the field inspectors.
The next Homeowner Building Class will be held Thursday, Sept. 4 at 6 p.m. at Town Hall, while one final class will be offered this year on Thursday, Dec. 4. For questions, contact Chief Building Official Gil Rossmiller at grossmiller@parkeronline.org or 303.805.3157.
