Mayor’s Holiday Lighting
Bundle up and bring your family and friends to kick off the holiday season at the Mayor’s Holiday Lighting on Friday, Nov. 28 at 5 p.m. in O’Brien Park. Enjoy a festive lineup of holiday entertainment, then experience the magic when you join the Mayor, Town Council, Mr. and Mrs. Claus and the Parker Chorale at 6 p.m. for a Town sing-a-long of Silent Night before the grand park lighting.

Festive concessions will be available for spectators to enjoy during the show. Event-goers are also welcome to hop on a carriage for a free ride in downtown Parker and visit Santa at the PACE Center after the event!

Rides will run from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. (will start after the event the evening of the Mayor’s Holiday Lighting). Pick-up will occur in O’Brien Park and at the PACE Center. All riders under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Free visits with Santa will be available at the PACE Center from 5 to 8 p.m. Carriage rides and Santa visits are generously sponsored in part by the Foerster Realtor Team and Lion’s Gate Real Estate.

On this special afternoon, the streets of downtown Parker fill with people ready to see marching bands, equestrian entries and catch a glimpse of Mr. and Mrs. Claus! Spectators will also enjoy a petting zoo and pony rides, holiday ice sculpting, winter markets and even pictures with Santa!

The 2014 parade, brought to you by Rocky Vista University with the theme “Let it Snow,” will begin heading west on Mainstreet at noon. Photos with Santa will be available after the parade for $5, cash only, from 1 to 3 p.m. in the O’Brien Park Gazebo. O’Brien Park will be full of holiday excitement as event-goers enjoy ice sculpting, courtesy of Crown Crest of Parker, Swingle Lawn, Tree and Landscaping and Xfinity, and a petting zoo and pony rides from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Home for the Holidays Winter Market will be held in O’Brien Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
