The Parker Building Department promotes energy-efficient construction and has mandated stricter compliance with energy codes than other jurisdictions. To continue our efforts in promoting high-performance homebuilding, the Town is hosting a two-hour class, presented by Building Trust LLC President Todd Gamboa, called “Selling High Performance Homes.”
This free class will educate builder sales professionals, Realtors and consumers about the value and benefits of building, selling and owning an energy-efficient home. Realtors who attend will receive two continuing education credits towards their license. The class will be held on Thursday, Sept. 17 at 9 a.m. at Parker Town Hall.
“Parker has been educating builders and contractors on code-compliant, energy-efficient construction since 2003,” said Gil Rossmiller, Chief Building Official for the Town. Rossmiller, a proponent of energy-efficient homebuilding, received the Institute of Market Transformation’s first “Energy Code Champion” award in 2012.
