The Town of Parker will hold a public open house regarding the proposed rezoning of the Pine Curve property, located at Pine Drive and Mainstreet, on Thursday, Dec. 10 from 5 to 7 p.m. The open house will be held at the PACE Center, 20000 E. Pikes Peak Avenue. Information provided at the meeting will include an outline of the rezoning process and timeline as well as additional public outreach and participation opportunities.
In 2002, the Town purchased a 24.4-acre parcel on the east side of downtown Parker, known as the Pine Curve property. The property was originally purchased for a proposed new police station and fire department headquarters. These facilities have been constructed at other locations in Town and are no longer planned for this site.
The site is currently zoned Greater Downtown District – Historic Center, which allows for a mix of multifamily and commercial land uses. The property is proposed to be rezoned to Planned Development (PD).
This open house is the first step in the process through which the Town will prepare and consider the rezoning proposal at a public hearing in the second quarter of 2016.
