The Town of Parker is again partnering with RTD to provide FREE Call-n-Ride service in Parker this summer. The program will run July 1 through Aug. 31, only within the Parker service area.
Call-n-Ride is a personalized bus service that travels within select areas of Parker and provides curb-to-curb service on a first-come, first-served basis. Scheduling a free ride to work, shopping, school or other fun activities is fast and easy either online at www.ParkerOnline.org/Call-n-Ride or via phone at 303.301.5772. Rides may be scheduled from two hours to two weeks in advance.
The Town has reinstituted this free program for the first time since the summer of 2013 in order to help increase ridership rates in an effort to retain the Call-n-Ride service in our community. By increasing ridership, the Town could also potentially seek expanded transit services for the Parker community in the future.
Parker’s RTD Call-n-Ride service area is generally located north of Hess Road and east of Twenty Mile Road. Ride areas and destinations include downtown Parker, Parker Adventist Hospital, Cottonwood, Wal-Mart, Target, Kohl’s, Railbender Skate and Tennis Park, the Parker Fieldhouse, Parker Recreation Center, Canterberry, Idyllwilde and many other neighborhoods and commercial areas.
Parker Call-n-Ride operates Monday through Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Call-n-Ride fares are normally $2.60 per ride for adults or $1.30 for seniors or students.
For more information on the Parker Call-n-Ride, including a map of the service area, or to book a ride, visit www.ParkerOnline.org/Call-n-Ride or call 303.301.5772. If the driver does not answer, please leave a message as they are not allowed to answer their phone while driving. The driver should return the call when at the next stop.
