Having quality building design, construction materials and well-thought-out commercial, industrial and multi-family building sites is of vital importance to maintain Parker’s quality of life. The Town’s current regulatory design standards, the Commercial, Industrial & Multi-Family Residential Design Standards, were formally adopted in 1999 with a few minor amendments in recent years.
The Community Development Department, along with consultant Urban Design Associates, has initiated the update of these design standards that will better communicate the community’s vision and result in a user-friendly design guide focused on updated architectural styles, site planning and building designs. You are invited to a community workshop scheduled for June 7 at Douglas County Libraries in Parker in the Event Room from 5 to 7 p.m.
Please visit our project website at www.ParkerOnline.org/DevelopmentDesignStandards and watch for the upcoming visual preference survey and other public outreach events.
