The Town of Parker’s 11-week Civic Academy returns this fall, and the application process is now open! Participants will learn what it takes to build, grow and maintain a community. From Town infrastructure to innovative ways of maximizing tax dollars, attendees get a first-hand look at how their local government operates. The academy will be held on Wednesday nights from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at various Town facilities. Classes will run from Sept. 6 through Nov. 8, with a graduation ceremony on Nov. 20.

This informational program is provided at the direction of  Town Council and Administration and encourages Parker residents to participate in local issues with the goal of improving the understanding and awareness of how local government works.

  • Knowing Your Community (presented by the Office of the Town Administrator)
  • Town Tour and Question & Answer Session with Town Council
  • Building a Community (presented by the Community Development Department and Economic Development)
