Parker has been named the No. 4 municipality in a study by Wallethub focused on the "Best Places to Raise a Family in Colorado."
The WalletHub study compared more than 60 Colorado communities across 21 key indicators of family-friendliness, including family life and fun; education health and safety; affordability; and socioeconomics." Parker ranked 34th in family life and fun; sixth in education, health and safety; second in affordability; and fifth in socioeconomics.
The Town of Parker was one of six municipalities from Douglas Council included among the list's top-20 communities, including Castle Pines (No. 2), Castle Rock (No. 8); Lone Tree (No. 12), Highlands Ranch (No. 16) and The Pinery (No. 18).
The lofty ranking is just one of numerous honors that the Town of Parker has received in recent years. CNN Money Magazine ranked Parker the No. 12 Best Place to Live (population under 50,000) in 2013, while WalletHub also tabbed the Town as the No. 17 Best Small City in the U.S. (population 25,000 to 100,000) in 2016.
