The Town of Parker would like to take the opportunity to clarify the proceedings from the South Range Apartments Site Plan public hearing on Nov. 9, 2017 and what is to be expected at the Dec. 14, 2017 public hearing. This project is more commonly referred to in the community as the Dominium project.
At the Nov. 9, 2017 meeting, the Chair of the Planning Commission advised the audience of the public hearing process. The Chair outlined the order in which presentations would be made by Town Staff and the applicant, and with the completion of presentations, the opening of the public testimony portion of the hearing. Both staff and the applicant made public presentations and responded to immediate questions from the Planning Commission. When the presentations and initial questions concluded, the Chair advised the public of the opening of the public testimony portion of the hearing. The Planning Commission then diligently listened and took note of the comments made during this portion. Once the final speaker concluded testimony, the Chair further advised that the public testimony portion of the hearing was closed. Once the public testimony portion has been closed by the Planning Commission, no more public comment will be taken on the item.
Therefore, at the Dec. 14, 2017 public hearing, the Planning Commission will not be considering additional public testimony. The Planning Commission will begin its deliberation and discussion of the item, including posing questions to staff and/or the applicant based on all of the information provided by staff, the applicant and the general public that is pertinent to the review of a Site Plan application.
The Dec. 14 Planning Commission Meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at Town Hall, 20120 E. Mainstreet. In addition to the Council Chambers, overflow areas will be set up for viewing the meeting. The Town will also be live streaming the meeting on the Town Facebook page at www.Facebook.com/TownOfParkerCO.
