Thanks to feedback received from citizen surveys conducted over the last several years, we know that our residents place a high priority on trails, especially the construction of new trails. As the Town continues to grow, the need for additional trails for both recreational and commuter purposes, has also increased.
The completion of the northern segment of the Auburn Hills north/south trail will provide another critical link in the Town’s overall trail system. When completed this spring, the new trail, which will be approximately 1,700 feet in length, will provide a 10-foot wide concrete connection (currently a dirt trail) from Mainstreet at the north to the recently completed East/West Regional Trail at the south. The trail will use the old Newlin Gulch Road right-of-way running between the Bradbury Hills and the Regency/New Horizons communities.
