The 2018 Town of Parker Roadway Reconstruction Program will feature the reconstruction of J. Morgan Boulevard between Stroh Road and just north of Cody Avenue.
The concrete pavement of this roadway is 30-plus years old, has exceeded it useful design life and is being reconstructed with a composite asphalt and gravel pavement section. Construction is slated for this spring with a summer completion date.
The project will be completed in two phases. Phase 1 will involve realigning two-way traffic to the east side of J. Morgan Boulevard, allowing for the reconstruction of the west half of the roadway. The traffic will travel on the east side of the median at the Stroh Road intersection during this phase. Phase 2 will mirror the first phase with traffic being realigned to the west side, allowing for the reconstruction of the eastern half of the roadway. The north portion of J. Morgan Boulevard was reconstructed in 2017.
