Beginning in mid-July, the Town of Parker will begin asbestos abatement and removal of two vacant houses that currently exist on the Pine Curve property near the Mainstreet and Pine Drive intersection. The structures are being removed for safety reasons; no development is planned for the Pine Curve property at this time. This work is scheduled to begin in July and be completed by late August/early September (weather permitting). While the demolition of these structures is not tied to a current development project, the Pine Curve property is part of the My Mainstreet project — a community effort to encourage the right growth in the right places in downtown Parker. P3 (Partnering for Parker's Progress) is working with Town residents, business owners and developers to define what the community would like to see on four downtown sites, including Pine Curve, and what is feasible for the private market to develop.
