Celebrate the Holidays in Parker

Mayor's Holiday Lighting in O'Brien Park

The holiday season is upon us! Celebrate with the Town of Parker’s annual holiday festivities and events. Join us as we kick off the season Friday, Nov. 23 at the Mayor’s Holiday Lighting presented by Xfinity and Ent Credit Union, followed by the annual Christmas Carriage Parade presented by Xfinity on Saturday, Dec. 8.

Mayor’s Holiday Lighting

O’Brien Park comes alive for the holidays at the Mayor’s Holiday Lighting presented by Xfinity and Ent Credit Union on Friday, Nov. 23 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

The event will begin with the Parker Chorale leading the town Sing-a-long to Silent Night followed by the countdown to the Town Tree and Grand Park Lighting. Once the park is lit, visitors can stroll around this festive community space to take in the sights, sounds and tastes of the holidays!

Enjoy illuminated holiday-themed ice sculpture displays and entertainment, caroling by local school choirs, taste treats and participate in a family-friendly scavenger hunt. Don’t forget to

stop by the Town tent to pick up a program and scavenger hunt key. If you visit enough places throughout the park, you may even win a large screen TV from Xfinity.

Christmas Carriage Parade

The Town of Parker, Colorado Driving Society and Xfinity invite you to experience the Christmas Carriage Parade, a downtown Parker tradition, on Saturday, Dec. 8 at noon. Parade entries determine their own themes and bring their own vision of what the holidays mean to them to life.

The parade starts at noon, but the pre-festivities begin at 10:30 a.m. with holiday ice sculpting, a petting zoo and pony rides, games and fun with Santa’s Elves in O’Brien Park, as well as a Winter Market.

Santa will be in Town for this great event and will be available for pictures inside Douglas County Libraries in Parker from 1 to 3 p.m. Make sure to take a peek around the library while you are there and plan to take part in some fun activities sponsored by Douglas County Libraries. Thank you to Kuni Honda on Arapahoe for bringing Santa to Town for this great occasion!

Mainstreet and Victorian Drive will be closed on the day of the parade until 2 p.m. Individuals within these limits will not be able to exit until the roads are reopened. Parking outside of these limits is advised.
