As scheduled, the reconstruction of the westbound lanes of Stroh Road between Parker Road and J Morgan Boulevard was substantially completed and the roadway reopened to the traveling public in late August. In the photo to the right, an asphalt paving crew is shown completing paving on the roadway in mid-August.
Minor work remains to be completed in September and will be undertaken with daily lane closures. This $1.25-million project was completed under budget and consisted of removing the 30-plus year old deteriorated concrete pavement and replacing it with a composite asphalt and aggregate base course pavement section. The Town appreciates the patience of the traveling public and neighborhood residents during this project.
