The Town of Parker has declared a formal local disaster emergency in response to the COVID-19 virus outbreak affecting communities across the country. Parker is one of many communities across the state of Colorado that has taken this type of action in recent days.
This declaration will allow the Town of Parker to more effectively respond to the current health situation, seek and utilize mutual aid, potentially obtain reimbursement, and ensure that the Town’s public health professionals have all necessary tools at their disposal to keep the community safe.
In addition to the local disaster emergency declaration, the Town has also announced that Parker Town Hall will be added to the list of other municipal facilities that will be closed to the general public until further notice, effective Tuesday, March 17.
While these facilities will be temporarily closed to the public, Town services will continue as normal.
