Due to the uncertainty of restrictions on gatherings, the challenges of monitoring and enforcing social distancing and the amount of advance preparation necessary, the Town of Parker made the decision to cancel the 2020 Parker Stars and Stripes Celebration and fireworks show.
While we were extremely saddened to make this very hard decision and knew our community would be disappointed, please know that this step was taken with the health and safety of our community in mind. We look forward to a time when we can once again gather together as a community.
Until then, the Town is finding other ways for our community to still celebrate Independence Day! Join the Town for a Parker Porch Party on Saturday, July 4 at 5 p.m. The Parker Porch Party Series is a great time to enjoy nice weather, chat with your neighbors and win some fantastic prizes while in the comfort of your own home.
Participating is as easy as 1-2-3:
- Tune in to the Town’s Facebook page (@TownofParkerCO) on July 4 at 5 p.m. for a 30-minute live virtual show filled with fun music, family fun entertainment, the Mayor’s Porch Party Challenge and a special virtual fireworks show. Please remember to adhere to state, local and health guidelines while having your party.
- Party the way you want...make it simple and bring your favorite takeout or beverage outside or go all out with music, entertainment and join the Town of Parker by decorating for your party! Parker Party America is the Parker Porch Party Decoration Sponsor—they are decking out the Town party with fun decor.
- Win prizes by participating in various contests throughout the series. You don’t want to miss out; there are some amazing prizes courtesy of Xfinity and the Outdoor Channel.
