A regular Town Council election will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 3 to elect a Mayor and three Councilmembers to four-year terms. Serving on the Town Council is a great way to help shape the future of the Parker community!
The Town will hold a pre-candidate meeting at the Parker Town Hall on Wednesday, July 29 at 6 p.m. to discuss the elected positions and the process to become a candidate; how to obtain information related to council agendas, reports and calendars; and to address questions related to the positions of Mayor and Councilmember.
The pre-candidate meeting is being held to prepare candidates for the first day that nomination petitions can be circulated for these elected positions, which is Tuesday, Aug. 4. If you circulate a nomination petition and obtain the required number of qualified signatures (as verified by the Town Clerk) and file the acceptance of nomination for Mayor or Councilmember with the Town Clerk on or before Monday, Aug. 24, your name will be placed on the Nov. 3 ballot.
The Town will hold a candidate orientation meeting at Parker Town Hall on Wednesday, Sept. 2, at 6 p.m. to determine the order in which candidate names will be placed on the ballot and to provide information related to campaign contributions, the Fair Campaign Practices Act, Code of Ethics, Disclosure Statements and Election Signs, as well as many important dates and deadlines.
