[ARCHIVED] Douglas County Launches Small Business Grant Program

Restaurants and indoor event venues with physical locations in Douglas County and 200 or fewer employees may be eligible for COVID-19 impacts grants. Through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, Douglas County has allocated $15 million to fund a grant for restaurants and indoor event venues that have experienced revenue loss due to capacity reductions required by recent public health orders.

Restaurant and event venue owners are encouraged to review eligibility details for the Douglas County CARES Restaurant and Event Venue Impact Grant. Applications will be accepted beginning Dec. 1, 2020 through Dec. 30, 2020. Grants will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to qualifying businesses, based on the order in which the applications were received.

Individual grant amounts will be based upon COVID-19 impact and revenue loss as demonstrated in the application. Grant awards will be equal to 10% of the revenue loss calculated up to a maximum of $200,000.

Find more details on the Restaurant and Event Venue Impact Grant page of the Douglas County website. For information on other Douglas County CARES grant opportunities visit douglas.co.us/cares-act.
