[ARCHIVED] St. Patrick's Day Activities in Parker

Children celebrating St. Patrick's Day

WEATHER UPDATE - WEDNESDAY, MARCH 10

Lucky the Leprechaun isn’t nearly as fond of snow as our previous holiday visitor Buddy the Elf, so with the weather forecast showing a big storm possible for this weekend, Lucky has made some changes to his schedule.

Lucky will now be in Parker on the actual holiday of St. Patrick’s Day, Wednesday, March 17, from noon to 4 p.m. instead of this coming Saturday, March 13 as originally planned. Don’t worry – he is still planning to be around town on Saturday, March 20, as well!

Lucky will also postpone the hiding of his shamrocks until St. Patrick’s Day to make sure those shamrocks aren’t buried by snow! The community can now “Hunt for Shamrocks” Wednesday, March 17 through Saturday, March 20.

For more information about these activities, visit www.ParkerOnline.org/Events or contact Brooke Spain via email or at 303.805.3253.

ORIGINAL EVENT INFORMATION

During the 2020 holiday season, Parker residents met Buddy the Elf and participated in our Elf Around Town Scavenger Hunt. We are excited to share with the community that Buddy’s leprechaun friend, Lucky, will be making his inaugural appearance in Parker around St. Patrick’s Day!

Lucky will be strolling (and hiding) around Mainstreet the Saturdays before and after St. Patrick’s Day (March 13 and 20) from noon to 4 p.m. While he is in Town, he will also be hiding 20 shamrocks around the community. Lucky, The Town of Parker and Xfinity invite the community to participate in this game of “Seek Out the Shamrocks” from March 13 through March 20. Can you spot Lucky and find some shamrocks? If so, you might win a prize! If you spot Lucky or any of his shamrocks hidden around town, take a photo and email Special Events Coordinator Brooke Spain at bspain@parkeronline.org or post the photo on the Town’s Facebook page (@TownofParkerCO) to be entered into a drawing for a prize basket.

Community members are eligible to enter multiple times as long as they spot Lucky the Leprechaun on different days and seek out multiple shamrocks!

For more information, visit www.ParkerOnline.org/StPatricksDay or call 303.805.3253.
