The Town of Parker will be undertaking a major upgrade to the existing East/West Regional Trail at-grade crossing of Jordan Road this spring.
Due to increased traffic volumes along Jordan Road and the elevated use of the East/West Regional Trail, the existing at-grade crossing is under-serving both motorists and trail users. To address these needs, the Town will be constructing a new undercrossing that will provide a safer route for trail users and optimize traffic flows along Jordan Road.
Construction is scheduled to begin later this spring with project completion expected by the end of 2021. During construction, there will be a partial shifting of the travel lanes in both directions along Jordan Road to accommodate various construction efforts. Also included in this project are several new trail connections to the surrounding neighborhoods.
The total estimated cost for this project is $2.9 million. Funding sources include Public Service Company (PSCo), developer contributions, parks and trail “share-back” funding from Douglas County, and the Town of Parker.
