The Town of Parker is pleased to announce that, due to residential development construction currently occurring on the south end of Parker, Town officials and the Anthology North development team have worked together to accelerate the construction of six lanes of Chambers Road between Hess Road and Stroh Road. Construction is anticipated to begin in the spring of 2022.
“I am pleased that this roadway project is moving forward significantly ahead of schedule,” said Parker Mayor Jeff Toborg. “I’m proud of this fantastic public-private partnership. This collaboration will ensure that this integral stretch of road is constructed to help reduce traffic congestion on the south end of Parker.”
Also included in this project will be the construction of a grade separated multi-use trail crossing of Chambers Road south of Bramwell Drive, which will provide a safer alternative for pedestrians crossing Chambers Road.
While the approval of the first phase of Anthology North would have required the developer to build three lanes of Chambers Road between Hess Road and Bramwell Drive, construction of the three lanes of Chambers Road between Bramwell Drive and Stroh Road would not be required until the approval of a future phase of the Anthology North development, which may have led to a delay in completing this section. This agreement allows Anthology North to construct Chambers Road in lieu of reimbursing the Town for their portion of Hess Road costs and allows for the completion of a very important roadway project at no additional out of pocket cost to the Town.
