Construction of a new traffic signal in downtown Parker at the intersection of Mainstreet and Victorian Drive (west), in the area of O’Brien Park, is nearing completion. The traffic signal is expected to be fully operational by Friday, May 27.
Drivers and pedestrians should be aware of the following details for the upcoming week:
o The west pedestrian Mainstreet crossing is currently closed. Pedestrians should instead use the north and east Mainstreet pedestrian crossings.
o On Tuesday, May 24, the east pedestrian crossing will be closed, and pedestrians will be directed to utilize the west and north pedestrian crossings.
o The traffic signals will begin flashing on Tuesday, May 24 at 9 a.m. They will be fully turned on in the afternoon.
o Complete signal operation, including pedestrian signals, will be underway on Friday, May 27. The west, east and north pedestrian crossings will each be open at that point.
