[ARCHIVED] Dransfeldt Road Extension Project

Dransfeldt Road Extension map

A long-planned, important link in the Town of Parker's regional roadway network is nearing reality.

Dransfeldt Road, which currently terminates at Twenty Mile Road, will soon be extended south to intersect with Motsenbocker Road, just north of Salisbury Park. This project has been planned for 20-plus years and will include a new bridge spanning Cherry Creek that will be the longest such bridge the Town of Parker has ever constructed.

Project work will begin with channel improvements to Cherry Creek this winter. Road construction is expected to start in the second half of 2023 and continue until late 2024. Planned and anticipated funding sources for this project include the Town, Mile High Flood Control District, Federal and Douglas County.

The Town's Engineering and Public Works Department will hold a Community Open House for individuals who would like to learn more about the project on Nov. 3 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the Town's Motsenbocker Parks Facility (12010 Motsenbocker Road).
