The Community Development Department Planning Division has been hard at work developing a master plan to promote safe travel by bicycle and foot in our community. The Bike and Pedestrian Master Plan public draft has recently been completed and will be available this month for public review and comment on the project’s webpage at ParkerOnline.org/BikeandPedPlan.
Thank you to all of the citizens who have followed the project and provided valuable input! The plan, developed as a supplement to the Parker Transportation Master Plan, will serve as the Town's policy document and ‘road map’ to support safe, comfortable and connected bike and pedestrian infrastructure. The new plan will include recommendations for developing an enhanced townwide multimodal network and a consolidated bike and pedestrian plan that creates a cohesive townwide bicycle and pedestrian network for all users.
Final adoption of the Bike and Pedestrian Master Plan is expected in the summer of 2023.
