The Town of Parker will begin a series of major sidewalk improvement projects in the downtown area this spring.
These projects will accomplish several goals:
- Widen current narrow sidewalks for improved pedestrian mobility
- Match streetscapes with other areas of downtown
- Addition of street trees and pedestrian lighting
- Construction of decorative fencing in select areas
The first project, scheduled to begin in the coming weeks, will be on the north side of Mainstreet, adjacent to the Town & Country Village community located across the street from the PACE Center. The limits of the project are between the corner of Victorian Drive (east) and the eastern limits of the Town & Country community.
Project construction kicked off in March and continues through the summer. Both the sidewalk and street parking spaces located in front of the sidewalk will be temporarily unavailable to users before being reopened following construction.
