Roadway Maintenance Projects

2023 Road Projects Map graphic

The Town of Parker's Streets Division works hard to keep our roadway network running smoothly, and spring and summer are the most active seasons for maintenance. Various projects across our community are already underway or will begin soon.

Slurry Seal Maintenance
This annual project features the sealing of pavement in multiple residential neighborhoods through Town. When a roadway segment has been selected for maintenance, approximately half of the segment will be closed completely for several hours, depending on the scale of work and weather conditions. Adjacent lanes and streets will remain open to allow nearby access for traveling, parking or getting to homes on foot during the time of the closure. Once these streets have dried and reopened to traffic, the other half of the roadway will be treated in a similar fashion.

Homes in affected neighborhoods will be notified when work is scheduled to begin.

Roadway Resurfacing
Sections of Chambers Road (Douglas/Arapahoe county line to E-470) and Canterberry Parkway (Mainstreet to Canterberry Trail) will undergo resurfacing operations this spring/summer. This two-step process includes the removal of the roadway's top layer followed by installation of a new layer of asphalt.

Additionally, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is planning to resurface Parker Road between Hilltop Road and Stroh Road this summer.

Concrete Spot Work
Concrete will be removed and replaced on sidewalks, curbs and gutters on an as-needed basis in select areas throughout Town. This work is in preparation for future road resurfacing projects.

Roadway Reconstruction
The concrete surface of a section of Keyser Creek Avenue in the Anthology neighborhood will removed and replaced with asphalt surfacing. This project began in April.

Streets Project Online Map
Our online Streets Project Map has recently been updated to include all 2023 maintenance projects that will be performed by the Town of Parker and its contractors. Please note, this map does not include projects in Parker that will be performed by either Douglas County or CDOT.
