Interested parties are invited to an open house at Town Hall, 20120 E. Mainstreet, on Wednesday, Aug. 18 at 7 p.m. regarding proposed amendments to the Parker 2025 Master Plan. The proposed amendment will affect two areas: the east side of the intersection of Mainstreet and Chambers Rd. and the Mainstreet area around 20-Mile and Dransfeldt roads.
At Mainstreet and Chambers Rd. the proposed amendment includes a new Neighborhood Center recommending neighborhood serving commercial, office and higher density residential land uses.
The second proposed change to the Master Plan is for the area surrounding Mainstreet between 20-Mile and Drandsfeldt roads and includes changing the character area from a vertically mixed use area named “Downtown Core” to a more commercial-oriented district named “Central Commercial.”
