With less than one week remaining before the General Election, Douglas County’s Clerk and Recorder, Jack Arrowsmith, offers friendly reminders to voters:
• “If you received a mail ballot for the primary election, it does not mean you will automatically receive one for the November election, unless you’re a permanent mail voter. Check your status at www.douglasvotes.com or call 303.660.7444.”
• “Come to the polls prepared to cast your vote. Bring your sample ballot as your guide.”
• “After Friday, October 29, do not put your mail ballot in the mail. Hand-deliver it to a drop-off location. Ballots returned after 7:00 pm on Election Day will not be counted.”
• “Bring your proper identification when voting at the polls.”
Registered voters may vote at one of 19 voter-assigned locations throughout Douglas County on Election Day, November 2, 2010. Voters are assigned a voting location based on the voter’s precinct number. Polls open on November 2, 2010 at 7:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m.
