Understanding the need for balance in how the economy, society, and the environment interconnect, Douglas County invites residents, as well as owners of businesses located in the County, to serve on a newly-created Sustainability Initiative Advisory Committee.
“We know there are as many definitions for sustainability as there are communities trying to define it,” said Steve Koster, Long Range Planning Manager. Our goal is to develop a vision of what a sustainable Douglas County looks like and we need community input for that vision to be relevant,” he concluded.
Nine appointments will be seated and service term will be three-years. The County is particularly interested in topic experts with expertise related to the creation of sustainable communities.
For more information and an application for appointment to the Sustainability Initiative Advisory Committee, due by Sept. 30, please call 303.660.7460.
