The Town and the National Children’s Study are excited to present Let Freedom Sing 2011 and the Town’s 30th Birthday Bash! Our community has much to commemorate this year and to celebrate the occasion we are hosting exciting festivities on Monday, July 4 from 6 to 10 p.m. at Salisbury Park.
Event-goers are welcome to bring blankets and lawn chairs and set up for the evening to enjoy plenty of family fun, live music, games, activities and concessions. In reflection of the Town’s incorporation date of 1981, the evening’s celebrations will begin with the increasingly popular 6 Million Dollar Band, singing your favorite hits of the 80’s! This high-energy show kicks off the event at 6 p.m. and will keep everyone on their feet!
Family and friends of all ages will have a blast at the complimentary inflatable bounce houses, slides, sports cages, climbing wall and bubble tower! Parents and kiddos alike will be captivated by the interactive array of free activities at the IREA Kid’s Zone! Bring a picnic or take advantage of the festive concessions including Chick-Fil-A, burgers, hot dogs, brats, ice cream, Italian ice, Jamba Juice and kettle corn! Temporary tattoos and face painting will also be available for $5 to 12.
The event continues at 8:30 p.m. when 35-piece brass band, Rocky Mountain Brassworks takes the stage and performs rousing patriotic favorites and Sousa marches. An Independence Day celebration would not be complete without fireworks! Experience a very special first-class fireworks display commemorating both the land of the free and Parker’s birthday with a bang!
Admission to the event is free and onsite parking will be $5, cash only. Onsite parking and handicap accessible parking are limited and are located at Salisbury Park, 9200 Motsenbocker Rd. Due to safety and permitting, NO alcohol or unauthorized pop-up tents will be permitted at the park or in parking lots.
