[ARCHIVED] Concrete Repairs on Lincoln Avenue

The City of Lone Tree has scheduled concrete repairs on Lincoln Avenue between I-25 and Oswego Street beginning on Sept. 16 through Oct. 10 (weather dependent). The construction activity will require the closure of lanes of westbound and eastbound Lincoln Avenue on the weekends, from 8 p.m. Fridays to 6 a.m. Mondays. There are no scheduled intersection closures or necessary detour route(s).

Since the concrete repairs require crews to place new concrete, there is roughly a 10 to 12-hour timeframe in which the concrete has to cure (harden). During this time, both lanes will remain closed, but construction crews will not be visibly working. This is a necessary process for concrete replacement to ensure the pavement is of high quality and can withstand the heavy traffic of Lincoln Avenue.

Anyone with questions is asked to contact the City of Lone Tree Public Works at 303.662.8112.
