Bundle up and bring your family and friends to kick-off the season at the Mayor’s Holiday Lighting hosted by the Town on Friday, Nov. 25 from 5 to 6 p.m. in O’Brien Park. Beginning at 5:30 p.m., attendees will enjoy holiday entertainment and previews of upcoming PACE Center performances. Come and see a very special medley of the Nutcracker of Parker by Colorado School of Dance and memorable scenes from “A Christmas Story,” produced by Aurora Fox Arts Theater. Join the Mayor, Santa and the Parker Chorale at 6 p.m. for a Town sing-a-long of Silent Night before the grand park lighting.
Save on your holiday shopping this year by picking up your FREE Parker discount card at the “Go to Town” table and visit the Parker Arts Culture and Events (PACE) Center table to find out more about Parker’s newest addition! Please bring a canned good or nonperishable food for the Parker Task Force holiday food drive. Festive concessions including coffee, hot chocolate, cupcakes and light-up toys will be available for spectators to purchase and enjoy during the show.
Free carriage rides will be available at the park and around downtown Parker starting at 6:30 p.m., provided by the Town and the Parker Chamber of Commerce. Event-goers are encouraged to park in downtown Parker as the O’Brien parking lot will be unavailable due to the event.
