The Town of Parker is looking for motivated individuals to become members of the Parker Cultural and Scientific Commission.
The Cultural and Scientific Commission is an advisory group that works with Town staff to recommend a vision and master plan to the Town Council for cultural and scientific activities for the community. They also review the Town’s grant application to the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District and make recommendations on items referred by the Town Council. Interest or experience in the arts, sciences and the Parker community is preferred.
Commission members are community volunteers and serve in an advisory capacity to Town Council. Members are asked to abide by a conflict of interest policy. Potential applicants who wish to pursue employment or paid contracting as a staff member, instructor, performer or other service provider with the PACE Center are advised that this is a conflict with Commission membership and are encouraged to pursue those opportunities directly.
The group meets quarterly. Members of the group do not need to reside in the Town of Parker. If you have an interest in the cultural arts or sciences and would like to serve the community in this capacity, please send a letter of interest to the Parker Cultural and Scientific Commission, Attn: Kelly Kuper, 20120 E. Mainstreet, Parker, CO 80138 or email to kkuper@parkeronline.org.
For more information, please contact Kelly at 303.805.3364 or kkuper@parkeronline.org. The deadline for applications is Friday, April 27 at 5 p.m.
