Beginning in mid to late July, repairs and drainage improvements will be conducted on Mainstreet between the Cherry Creek bridge and Motsenbocker Road. This project is expected to last several weeks and alternate routes are recommended as there will be lane closures throughout the course of the work.
This project is part of Parker’s town-wide Concrete Replacement Program. To maximize tax dollars and minimize impact to our residents, a large part of the annual concrete repair is focused on areas also scheduled for roadway resurfacing. A portion of the concrete program is dedicated to concrete roadway repairs.
The concrete roadway repairs have previously been limited to minimal spot repairs on the locations most in need of repair throughout Town. The section of Mainstreet between the Cherry Creek bridge and Jordan Road has been an ongoing focus of the program.
Beginning in 2011, additional funding was designated for the reconstruction efforts on Mainstreet. In 2012, the Town anticipates e completing the remaining repairs needed between the Cherry Creek bridge and Motsenbocker Road, north of the median.
