This is the third article in the four-part series about how each of the Community Development Department’s divisions works for the citizens of Parker.
The Comprehensive Planning Division facilitates discussions about the future vision for our community that come from the Town Council, Planning Commision and our citizens. The Division then develops these visions into plans and programs intended to bring these goals to reality. In doing so, the Division is involved in a number of special projects that involve a wide range of topics including land use, transportation, environmental protection, trails and open space.
The Division is charged with viewing the big picture and balancing a wide range of needs and pressures as our community evolves over time. Projects often entail significant research, public outreach and forward thinking.
The Comprehensive Planning Division also provides staff time for the Parker Authority for Reinvestment (PAR), the Town’s urban renewal authority. For more information on the PAR, please visit www.parkeronline.org/PAR.
