Congratulations to Mike Waid, who was elected as the Town of Parker’s new Mayor in November 2012. After serving on Town Council since 2008, Waid was sworn in as Mayor on Dec. 17, 2012. Prior to serving on Town Council, he was on the Town of Parker Special Licensing Authority.
Waid and his family have lived in Parker for 12 years and in Stroh Ranch for the past nine. He is currently the President and CEO of Mike Waid and Associates, Inc., the publishers of Search Parker Magazine.
During his tenure on Town Council, Waid worked hard to establish Parker as a pro-business community that also recognizes the need for and supports a strong residential base. He chose to run for the position of Mayor to help lead Town Council down that path and to represent Parker to the County, State and other agencies. As Mayor, Waid plans to continue the pro-Parker, pro-business direction that he has worked to create while serving on Parker Town Council.
Waid holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Economics from the University of New Mexico. He is the Vice
President of the Debbie Jackson Memorial Foundation and a member of the Cherry Creek Valley Rotary Club of Parker. He has also served as a board member for the Parker Chamber of Commerce, Apex Contemporary Dance Theater and the Space EGGsploration Foundation, as well as an assistant coach for both REAL youth soccer of Colorado and Tomahawks Youth Baseball.
In his free time, Waid enjoys hiking, camping, fishing, biking, baseball and spending time with his family.
