The Public Works Department issues all construction permits and grading permits (excluding building permits) for the construction of public infrastructure within the Town. The following permits are required when working within the Town’s Right of Way (R.O.W.) or as defined in the Roadway Design and Construction
and the Storm Drainage and Environmental Criteria
are required for any new developments requiring access on Town-owned roadways. Access permits are administered through the Public Works Department, with technical reviews and inspections performed by the Public Works Department Engineering Staff.
Street Light Banner Permit
Street Light Banner Permits are used to advertise events in the Town with banners.
Temporary Access Permits
Temporary Access Permits
are issued in order to provide access in and out of public R.O.W. associated with non-construction (events), construction and/or landscaping. The permittee is required to provide a Detailed Traffic Control Plan for the proposed temporary access. Pictures are required of any existing damage to streets, curbs, gutters and/or sidewalks prior to issuance of this permit. Any damage not identified prior to issuance of said permit shall be the permittee’s responsibility.
Oversized / Overweight Moving Permit
This permit is required when moving any oversized / overweight load within the Town of Parker.
Floodplain Permits are required for any construction within the designated floodplain.
Grading permits are required for all projects that include earth movement or significant land disturbances within the Town of Parker. The permit is necessary to ensure Construction Best Management Practices (BMPs) have been appropriately planned for a project prior to the start of construction activities. Grading permits are administered through the Public Works Department, with the technical reviews and inspections performed by the Stormwater Utility Staff.
Right of Way Permit
Right of Way Use Permits are required for all construction or alteration to take place within the Town of Parker public right of way. This permit is necessary to ensure that all construction or alteration within the Town of Parker Right of Way is in compliance with Town of Parker standards. Right of Way Use Permits are administered through the Public Works Department, with technical reviews and inspections performed by the Public Works Department Engineering Staff.
Street Occupancy Permit
Street Occupancy Permits are required to place items, including but not limited to landscape materials, storage containers, dumpsters and construction trailers in the Town of Parker Right of Way for more than 24 hours.
